Dinner last night was a delicious chicken with red wine sauce, roast potatoes, and green beans with almonds.
The red wine sauce had mushrooms and onions in it, as well as a glorious amount of butter. The potatoes were roasted simply with rosemary and whole cloves of garlic. Whole, roasted garlic cloves are one of the most delicious ever. They are slightly sweet, and have a wonderful smokey flavor too.

The rich, buttery meal was balanced by following it with some wonderfully light, crisp grapes.

And here is a gratuitous close-up. As a famous cook once said, “You can never have too much butter.”
